Airspan Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq: AIRN), a leading
provider of WiMAX-based broadband wireless access networks announced that Telenor has awarded Airspan a contract to expand their national network across Norway, as part of its
multi-year agreement. Using Airspan’s WiMAX solutions, Telenor will be offering business and
residential high-speed data services in several additional regions nationwide.
Serving rural areas previously unreached by broadband, WiMAX solutions from Airspan will
enable Telenor to deliver IP services to thousands of new subscribers. Airspan’s product
portfolio offers the flexibility in range, capacity and cost to meet Telenor requirements for a
robust WiMAX solution that provides carrier-class features such as advanced Quality of Service.
