Model 1173 IP Network Camera Extender

Patton Electronics, the leader in business and carrier-class network access, connectivity, and Voice-over-IP equipment—unveils the world’s first IP Camera Extender, the Patton Model 1173, at IIPSEC 2008 in Coventry, UK.

Compatible with any IP camera on the market, Patton’s latest network-extension innovation is optimized to deliver high-quality streaming video over ordinary copper telephone wire at up to 50 Mbps. For video-over-Ethernet applications, Patton’s Model 1173 reduces infrastructure costs and simplifies installation by eliminating new CAT5 or coaxial cable requirements.

Patton’s Plug-and-Play IP Network Camera Extender enables users to place their IP cameras over fifteen times farther than the standard distance of 328 feet (100 meters) over standard phone grade twisted pair
