| NeoScale CryptoStor Tape Wins Network Computing's Well-Connected Award for Best Tape Encryption Device
|
NeoScale Systems, the premier provider of enterprise storage security solutions, today announced that its CryptoStor™ Tape storage encryption appliance, the industry’s first FIPS 140-2 Level 3-certified storage security appliance, earned the 2006 Well-Connected Award from Network Computing in the Tape Encryption category. CryptoStor Tape seamlessly integrates into networked storage environments and secures tape media with no changes to the backup applications or media management operations required.
“The Well-Connected Awards are unique because they’re the only industry awards given by technologists based on real-world use and integration. We view all products, technologies and services from the same perspective as our readers -- our peers -- do,” said John Siefert, publisher of Network Computing. “This is an important distinction from any other award program -- the products selected in the Well Connected Awards have been tested in an actual business environment and judged by our editors themselves. They are truly innovative solutions that work -- and we have the metrics to prove it.”
The Network Computing award is the latest in a continuing series of honors NeoScale has received. Storage Magazine named the CryptoStor storage security appliance family data encryption product of the year. Out of more than 1000 companies, NeoScale was selected as one of AlwaysOn’s Top 100 Private Companies for 2005. The Association of Network Storage Professionals (ASNP), which represents more than 1,600 storage end users worldwide, presented NeoScale with the ASNP Vision and Leadership award for the company’s commitment to building a worldwide community of storage networking end users.
“We are extremely pleased that CryptoStor Tape has received Network Computing’s Well-Connected Award,” said Dore Rosenblum, vice president of marketing for NeoScale Systems. “NeoScale continues to push the envelope in storage security through innovation, advancing the state of the art in secure, open and automated encryption systems. No other vendor rivals NeoScale’s ability to save customers’ time and money by simplifying storage security and enabling more effective security, operation and management.”
