EXT-102 Intelligent Ethernet NTU
Intelligent Ethernet Network Termination Units
The ETX-102 intelligent Ethernet network termination unit carries Ethernet traffic over the fiber Local Loop, from the customer premises to the network's edge, providing a large range of differentiated Ethernet services.

Owned and operated by the service provider, the ETX-102 Ethernet network termination unit is located at the customer site, marking an intelligent demarcation between the user and operator networks.

Benefits:

• End-to-end control up to the customer premises and service level agreement (SLA) enforcement

• VLAN stacking (double VLAN tagging) for transparent LAN services

• Rate limitation per user port and per traffic aggregate allow hierarchical QoS

• Loopback capability per user port – allowing simple diagnostic test to be performed on each port

• Fault propagation rerouting; link failures are rerouted (manually or automatically) to alternate pathways

• Remote or local management using the network port or out-of-band Ethernet port
