The Finisar Bus DoctorTM RX family of analyzers helps engineers and designers solve challenges on serial and parallel buses in electronics and computing products. The Bus Doctor RX traces its roots to ATA and SCSI analysis. Today it supports emerging consumer electronics technologies such as SD/SDIO, CE-ATA and Serial ATA (SATA) and established ones such as PCMCIA and Cardbus.

Bus Doctor RX Analyzer
The Bus Doctor RX is a powerful modular bus analyzer for computing and consumer electronic applications. With advanced features, including large trace buffers and crosssequence triggering, the Bus Doctor RX platform is able to
analyze buses such as SCSI and P-ATA and serial buses such as USB, SATA and PCI Express.

By connecting a Finisar bus pod to a Bus Doctor RX, the RX becomes a dedicated analyzer for that bus type, supported by the bus pod (see Figure 1). The Bus Doctor RX is compatible with 12 Bus Doctor RX analyzer bus pods, including PATA,
SATA, and USB and supports 15 protocols.

Example: When the user connects the Memory Card (MC) pod to a Bus Doctor RX, the RX becomes a dedicated MC analyzer (see Figure 2) capable of CE-ATA analysis. When the user connects a USB Pod to a Bus Doctor RX, the RX becomes a dedicated USB analyzer.
